This movie tell situation in the city of Chicago in 2035, where the technology can already be growing rapidly and robots could also be easily found and used as a human servant. In these circumstances everyone becomes felt more helped by the existence of technology and robots, but no exception for Del Spooner (Smith). He is one of Chicago police detectives who do not like the rapid progress of technology, including the robot. It began when a robot rescue Spooner from a car accident in which a girl in another car but a robot instead sink to save him and not the girl who was drowned in the car, the robot was saved because it was calculated that he has the best probability of survival. Previous Spooner sent to investigate cases of suicide which is done by a robot creator (Dr.Lennin).
Spooner suspects that Dr.Lennin killed by a robot, with the help of USR robopsychologist Susan Calvin (Moynahan), Spooner looking for answers to this case. Furthermore, an interesting story in this film is the presence of the advanced robot uprising that led to heavy fighting between Human and Robot.

My Comment :
We can saw that iRobot is a movie of future world, where cyborg seems to be like human but it use as human slave and must obey with the three rules.
This movie very terms with the growing technology specially in Robotics, it illustrated to us perhaps, the situation in the future, although the advanced of technology use to help human with their work, but it doesn’t meant human lives depends on technology. This movie is able to give a real picture that made we can imagine the real situation on the movie.
In the relationship with Human Computer Interaction course, it seen clearly in this movie that human can give order to robots their created which basically the brain of robots is a computer too. And the main system control all system in that city is call VIKI are consist of agent, artificial intelligence, etc. It made me impressed with VIKI, how computer can control all the system of human life, the interaction between human and computer make life of human being became more easier and it help human very well with their work.
The negative effect from that as the lesson for us is how human life is depends on technology, and when it became like that, technology turned back to against human, so it teach us to use technology wisely and not depends on technology and the most important is “don’t be a loser of technology”.
